The Technomelt Supra 176 from Henkel is a thermostable hot melt based on polyolefin technology, supplied as whitish granules. It combines very high adhesion and high cohesion with high heat resistance and high hot tack – ideal for fast packaging lines with short-to-medium open time and fast setting.
Typical applications include wrap-around cases, tray forming and closing, and folding boxes. It bonds paper and carton reliably – including printed and lacquered surfaces – and its high heat resistance makes it suitable for packaging of warm-filled products such as cheese or juice. Due to the variety of substrates, Henkel recommends preliminary tests.
